I think you both have a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Judaism and Islam together.

Your friend will be learning things about Islam as a beginner. If you both can ask and answer questions of one another and serve as resources (or conduits to resources) then you have a chance to learn and gain insight into each other's worlds.

If something hateful is suggested or discovered, either in what he is being taught, or in your heart, you have a chance together for early detection, before it festers.

Good luck to both of you. May your friendship, insight and understanding grow together.

Why would he have to hate you? The problem in palestina or whatever between the Jews and Muslims is mostly due to territory.. yeah there are some conflicts between them two, but not all people are like that. I have two muslim friends who didn't hate me and I didn't hate them even though I was Jewish at the time. So don't worry about it, you are friends.

Who and where does it say that Muslims must hate Jews? Are Jews taught to hate Muslims? I don't think so. As the previous brothers and sisters have posted, the Quran says to respect people of the other holy books. Your friend should not hate you and U should not hate him/her.

The muslims who murdered Daniel Pearl, a reporter who went to Pakistan to tell the muslim side of a story, was asked 3 questions by the islamofascists who cut his head off.
1. Are you a Jew.
2. Was your father a Jew.
3. Was your mother a Jew.
He said yes to all 3 questions so they chopped his head off and bragged to the world about it. Read surah 8:12 in the koran...

Of course not. Your question is funny. Who told you Muslims have to hate the Jews to be Muslims?
