Jim,

I wish we knew your last name.

And for the sake of fun lets talk my favorite nicknames:

the "Hitman"
"Lights Out"
"He Hate Me"

How about these:

I was going to use the "Soprano" (the cable series) because it ryhmed with my last name.

Jim or James " The Brick Layer" W...

Jim "The Grim Reaper"

James "Sledge Hammer"

"Granite" Jim

Nothings "Jim-possible"

"Jim-nastics"

"The Tower of Power"

Jim "Too Quick Shick"

"The Quick Shick"

"Who Hate Him" Jim

"Claiming Names" James

"Taking Names" James

I may come up with a couple of more

Good Luck

Unless u have a punch that can bring a house down and a chin of granite your trainer has no business putting u in the ring as an amateur or even in a smoker. U need to hone your skills so u will be solidly prepared for a bout. U dont want to get in the ring and get whacked up side the head then if u dont like it have your balloon popped. Maybe im wrong and u are an animal that would destroy an opponent. But wait awhile an EARN a nickname. Thats the way to do it. Wish u the best and hope u reach your dream.

I boxed in smokers in the Marines (My Dad boxed a little so I had some skills when I joined the marines) and against some local club fighters...you don't need a nickname right away...as a matter of fact it'd be presumptious on your part to have one for your first fight...once you get 6 fights or so under your belt or get to where you are going more than 3 rounds you can think about a nickname....p.s. what was ali's nickname?

Get past your first fight and see if you want to continue, then maybe when you have 3 or 4 WINS under your belt then your Trainer can name you. But for someone tall, slim with a big punch "The Hitman" sounds good ala Tommy Hearns. Keep your hands up; use your reach advantage and good luck!

Brother you can not give yourself a nickname someone else has to do that, if you name yourself then you are just some posser. If you can fight somebody will start calling you something that will actually mean something, and then you will feel some pride when you hear your name announced.

Good Luck ! --If it makes you feel good, there is nothing wrong with a nickname---How about " Jim the Gym Man " ( referring to your lean build ) or " The Powerhouse Jim " ( referring to your power & Powerhouse Gym ) or if you place your hands on your hips with your elbows out before the bout starts you can call yourself " Akimbo Jimbo " ??
