Well I read that a strict 7 day water only drink would work with fruits veggies and very low sodium foods now I would like to know what I can eat every now and again what I could eat everyday and what I should never even think about eating I really want to lower my blood pressure quickly one week if possible I am just above normal however I would like to return to normal for the satasfactory I also would like to know more about blood pressure for instance is it bad to have high blood pressure for any amount of time once I lower it how can I keep it low while eating some salty foods every now and again.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it one more question what if the only veggies I eat are carrots and lettuce? will that help in any way?

Thanks so much

Having a low-sodium diet in general can sometimes lower blood pressure. Diet alone may not lower your blood pressure. Getting 60 minutes of moderate exercise daily will likely have a greater impact. Being overweight can also cause high blood pressure. If those two things combined don't work, you may need treatment with medications. High BP is serious, keep contact with your doctor.

Stay away from butter, cheese, and egg yolks these foods are high in fat and are a definite no. Try eating foods like oatmeal, fish, and Spinach, unsalted sunflower seeds, beans also help lower blood pressure and add calcium, vitamin D, magnesium and potassium to your diet.. also every once in awhile you can have some yourself some dark chocolate which is also good in lowering high blood pressure and it's under 30 calories.

I have high blood pressure problem.

Before I tried to eat at least 4 dried apricots a day. That helped alot. Eat foods high in potassium.

Now, I am on a water pill. Easier to pop a pill than eat four apricots a day.

Also try exercising.

potassium rich foods will go a long way to controlling your blood pressure. The best is a half cup of raisins daily, they are the highest source of natural potassium. It will help to control your sodium levels as well as drinking 2 liters of water daily. You do need a balanced diet, only veggies won't work. Limit your caloric intake to 2000 daily, and minimize your salt intake, you don't have to give it up entirely, but if you want to eat extra raisins if you eat extra salt.

This is possibly going to sound crazy but google it and check it out. I've been working in a hospital lately --- NEW job -- but I have to review medical records *(I have high blood pressure) --- I kept seeing medications people take and one is "fish oil" -- Omega 3 or something like that and I was thinking WTF IS THIS??? So I looked it up and supposedly it will reduce blood pressure among a TON of other issues -- google it and see what you find out. We're thinking about getting some this weekend --- it helpl like....everything.

cereals like cheerios and total are great for lowering blood pressure. cool green tea is an excellent antitoxin and also helps/ chow down on the raw salads, especially with kale and spinach.

You need to stick with a pretty basic diet (lots of fruits veggies and lean protein). Try to make your own food. Adding salt is what makes most food taste so good but I found that exercise (reduces stress) and cooking without salt isn't so bad after all.
