Because the people that do not believe in GOD, hate those of us that do and want to eliminate us from the planet.
I have seen it stated in YA many times the all religion should be destroyed and all bibles burned.
I can only say one thing.

Because so many people are afraid of what they do not know or do not understand of God and his kingdom. So many who live their life without ever knowing Jesus feel fear, guilt or sometimes just want to put off til later to learn the truth, so they put up a wall or pretense of not believing, not caring or whatever happens to work at the time. Then they publically renounce any association or belief in God to appease their piers. But wait and ask them when the crowd is gone and trouble is on them, for each and every one of us is at some time offered by God, his forgiveness and love, and we choose to accept it or not but when we need him the most is when we will call on him and without any trouble doing it.

Why do people have problems with religion?
Because it's decisive, is based on dangerous rigid doctrines that restrict questioning and free-thinking, relies on intangible fears of divine punishments to reinforce its ideals, is based off a cruel and unjust God, and opposes science that contributes to the well-being of society.

Because eventually people come to realize, even if they don't want to, that organized religion is all about power and control. The more followers you have, the more power you have--and the more money. That's one of the problems.

I dont have a problem with religion or god.... I think society does because if they have to believe in a higher power then that takes away from thier selfishness, and self centeredness. If they have to think of eternety that would put a damper on going out and taking drugs or drinking or what ever they are doing to have fun... But WE ALL NEED TO THINK OF OUR SALVATION and the salvation of those we love as well as of those we dont..

Because every individual is different in terms of ideology, personality and beliefs therefore it creates conflict between societies in countries around the world.
There will never be one religion and one God.

I have no problem with God or His word
I have a problem with the tradition of man being treated higher than Gods word in the name of religon

because ALL religions are man-made and so is the God/s in those religions.
Although I believe that there is a supreme-being.

because we're uneducated.we fear the unknown.we're afraid to trust in something,and end up disappointed.we dont want to follow rules.we dont want restrictions on us.we want to do our own thing.we want to live life on our terms.we're not sure what to believe,who to trust.religion confuses us.and people hurt innocent people all in the name of religion.who knows what is real and what isn't?sometimes,religion keeps us from seeing the truth.so its hard to believe in something,if that very thing has disappointed us.
