I don't think so. You need a source of oil-- butter or oil to make the oatmeal toasted.. I would use the oven not a microwave. It could come out very soft and not evenly toasted, just partially burned.

I make granola with water not oil.. yuck!
Just make oatmeal add in raisans and nuts and you got granola!
