God does answer our prayers. And I know he has been answering your prayers and those of your wife. I can vouch for this through my own experience.

I had my quarrels with God. When I say God, I mean Jesus Christ. There were many times when God was so far away from me. I seemed to be praying in vain and many times I walked away from God, even cursed Him. Then God answered me. At that time, I didn't know that he had answered my prayers. He did it in such a cryptic and incredible manner that my human mind couldn't understand it. When it finally dawned on me that it was God who answered my prayers, I broke down and cried uncontrollably. And each time I was down on my knees in prayer, I cried like a new-born child.

I now wake up every morning at about 4 to pray. I don't need an alarm clock. The Holy Spirit will wake me up at that time. Once I'm awake I must go down to my study and pray. Many times God, in His wisdom, says NO to what we ask of Him. Because we expect him to reply to us in the affirmative, we dismiss his NOs.

I'm not asking you to believe me. But I know without an iota of doubt that God exists and He answers our prayers and He often does so in very mysterious ways that defy human logic. You probably have heard this said to you umpteen times: Keep on praying. I know it is hard to do so when you're hoping against hope. But do know that he won't let us down.

And to borrow someone's quotation: "Men's extremities are God's opportunities."

God bless you and your family.

I wish you all a blessed New Year!

Because he is a PERFECT being. LOVE is your answer. Fear will keep you lost. It's that simple. It is the silliness of man to think that a PERFECT being needs to engage us. We are the most over fed and over protected people on earth. There is a lot of fear in losing that security. God is not saddled with our human silliness of need or deserving or waiting. Jesus was a man on earth. Jesus taught a way of living and being and doing. That is all. Religion made up other ideas about God after Jesus left. They sure don't make Jews like Jesus anymore.

An answer coming from God or when people "hand their life over to God" allows people to pretend that they are not responsible for their results. God has put us into a cause and effect universe. It's called sowing and reaping.

Remember, religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.

Always come from love and you'll never be lost. It's that unbelievably simple.

"Wait for the Lord" is the watchword for the Advent season, which just ended on Monday night. Remember that God doesn't work on your schedule.

Also, you might be waiting for the wrong kind of answer. God often works through other people. Stay involved, stay watchful. Continue to pray. Your answer will come in God's time.

Also keep in mind that God's answer to your prayer may be "no." His will be done.

maybe your god is answering you by NOT answering you, insofar as it has bigger plans for you further down the road, and those plans aren't really compatible with whatever you and your wife are asking for right now... or maybe you're not asking for the right things? i don't know. i don't know what motive your god has... good luck in getting whatever it is you're trying to get though...

He is there and has the answer you need. It depends on what it is that you are asking. You may have to wait for the answer, and waiting is the hardest part. Just believe that He hears your prayers and knows exactly the moment to bring the answer your way.

Because sometimes God is silent.

Job 33:14
For God does speak--now one way, now another--though man may not perceive it.

You must seek Him with all your heart. When you seek Him with your whole heart, He will be found. You must live for Him, and allow Him to live through you. The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Well, according to what I've heard and read from Christians, you're either not trying hard enough or your praying to the wrong god.

EDIT: I'm sure god doesn't give a sh*t if you capitalize his/her name.
Proper noun my a s s.

Perhaps what you are asking is not in his will for your life and would bring you more heartache than you can handle.

OR.... he might have answered you and you didn't hear the answer or are not accepting it.
