Unless you are married you will not qualify for military housing, you will only be allowed to be in barracks or on a ship. The only time you will qualify for living off base and get housing allowance (BAH) is if you are E5 and higher. She will also not be allowed to use the base or any of its benefits without being married to you as listed as your dependent.

As an enlisted soldier you will be assigned to a barracks room. There are exceptions to this depending on your location and the unit. In many cases senior enlisted are authorized to live off base, but not in housing. Housing is generally reserved for married soldiers or single soldiers with dependents, whether those dependents are children or elderly or disabled family members that the court has appointed as your dependents. If you want to live in housing with her you must marry her.

Well, you have to pass the English test before you can enlist. Do that first. A female friend cannot permanently stay with you in base housing. Please direct ALL questions to your recruiting officer for the most accurate and up-to-date answers.

BTW - being able to live together in base housing is no reason to marry her. Date her, fall in love, have a relationship, THEN marry her. lol

to have her live on base with you you would need to marry her... and if you are a junior enlisted (e4 and below) you would not be able to live off post unless you get special permission from your commander... an example for permission could be that the barricks are full....
however i am not sure if you would beable to recieve BAH...
the only real way to get a stright up and honest answer would be to get in touch with your Sgt and ask them....
every unit is different and every command is different....

hope this helped just a bit

She will need to be your legal wife to live with you on base housing and you will only be allowed to get on base housing if you are married or have children that are in your full time custody. You will not even be allowed to live off post until you are E5 or above.

So looks like you will have to marry her if you want her to live with you or wait until you get promoted to SGT and then get off base housing.

Good luck either way.

Unless you're married, she's not living with you on base.

If you get married she will be able to live on post. In other words she will become your dependent.

I really don't think you have to worry about it, I highly doubt you will be able to enlist!
