If your serious do what the serious do - goto Photography School.

A DSLR and a couple of fast lenses would be handy, also a monopod.

The image is a 3-4, angle disturbs me, otherwise its a 6-7 maybe.

I don't care for the angle either, or the red eye. I would give it about a 3. mostly because I rather like the blurred red effect. The red eye, at least, is an easy fix in Photoshop or similar program. Keep practicing and learning. As you are probably finding out, a p&s is not an ideal camera for stage photography.

You and I are using the same avatar :-)

I give it a 1.
This could be a corpse in a mortuary as there is no 'life' to it.
Band/live music photography should show enthusiasm, some good feelings, some 'action' that portrays in a silent image what the band is all about, what the event was about. This is simply a dead person, empty of emotion.
Even if this was a famous rock star being interviewed, it doesn't do the job. It needs to be rotated to the vertical, as, as shown, whoever it is is lying down waiting for the Medical Examiner.

I give it a 3, being below average quality. You should get rid of the red eye for a start. The angle isnt too good to look at either. Also it is a bit too blurred in some areas, so better focus, also sharper colours would be nice.
