I had a cat that looked very much like the one you recently described, I named the cat Pepper but Onyx or Ebony work as well. You should also consider eye color before naming the cat.
If the eye color is green you could name the kitty Emerald or Jade.
If the eye color is blue you could name the cat Sapphire, Azule(s), or Topaz.
If the eye color is brown you could name the cat Choco, Brownie, or Poo.
Pip is a cute name for a cat as well and is a good name for either gender.

Personally I give my cats human names. I had a Kira and now I have a JAX and a CHLOE. I like Sam, Ace, Henry or you could always go with the general cute pet names like; Pepper, Midnight, Oreo, Socks, Mittens, etc.

don't name it something stupid like 'boots'. i think cats, and all animals, should have human names. would you name a little boy boots or oreo?? but it's your cat, name it whatever you like.
