I consider myself Christian. I donot go to church, (honestly, i have been wanting to go though), i dont pray before meals, i cuss, ... i admit, we arent the best people, but i believe god helps me in many ways, and that its not all of the time, but he does.

My friend tells me that in order to be a 'good' christian, you must go to church. Also, some of our beliefs are different. I believe that gays are NOT going to hell, she does, for an example.

Is there such thing as a good christian or bad? I mean.. i just dont know.

I like your honesty in stating "I admit, we aren't the best people". Most of us aren't "the best people". We can only strive to be more Christlike. You should strive to correct those things you mentioned. But don't get too down on yourself if you slip up. We all do sometimes

Until you are saved, repent all your sins, and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior, then you're not a Christian. Good people go to Hell too,,,,but not those who are saved and live their life in the Lord.

And when you do these things, you will attend church. It's part of being a Christian and having the "new" family in Christ. Also, you will also learn the scriptures your friend is telling you about,,,,,referring to homosexuals going to Hell. There are many people that will not make it to the Kingdom of God, even though they are 'good people'.......

I am not judging you, but by Christian standards merely being a good person does not qualify you for heaven or being a Christian = Christ Like?

Perhaps as you mentioned; You don't go to church but would like to; That would be a good place to start. Find yourself a church that you feel comfortable at and from there maybe this will assist you in growing your faith!

ok. you brought up many points.
firstly, going to church does not amke one a "good" Christian. that part must come from the heart.
everyone makes mistakes.
Luke 18:9-14.
sorry if there are typos, im copying it from my Bible.
and i have an NIV--it is translated to make it easier to read...
wait.
let me just roughly tell you the Parable.
it was about a tax collector and a Pharisee. they were both praying to God. the Pharisee was like: I am so glad you made me as I am because I woiuld never want to sin like that tax collector over there... and the tax collector prayed: God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
God favored the tax collector.
it also says somewhere... "He who humbles himself will be exalted, but he who exalts himself will be humbled."

both of these examples say that if you repent, you are a good Christian.
i hope that helped...

You're a good Christian. Going to church or not has little, if anything, to do with it.
It is just the support you get from other believers, and sometimes the music and groupprayer is comforting.

I believe a lot of the same things that you do, and I say "sh*t" sometimes...not much, though, cause if it is a habit, it might slip out at school when I am teaching.,.....not a good thing.

Being a good Christian cannot be measured on how many times or how often she/he goes to church. A good Christian is someone who reads, understands the BIBLE and applies it on her/his life. Although, attending/going to church is also a big help for you will be able to meet true and GOD fearing people and will also help you to be a better Christian. Try to attend or join cellgroups. It's more of a CAREGROUP because they will act as your friends, sisters, brothers wherein you can share your ups and downs and as I said, will help you to be a better Christian. May God bless you always!

You are either a Christian or not

Not good or bad Christian

" Forsake yourself not the assembling to gether with those of life faith"
Sounds a lot like " going to church" doesn;'t it?

You assemble with other Christians to be strengthened and encouraged AND to encourage others. If not you will be weakened

As for the gay thing.......read 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 and you tell me how it'll go for gay people.

Cristian = Christ -like

YOU by your OWN admition are not a Christian
But an idol worshipper

YOU calim to be a cristian to a God of who you think HE is rather then WHO HE REALLY IS

You like so many call yourself Christian but by your own life and words deny HIM

READ THE BIBLE
SEE WHO GOD REALLY IS

Not want YOU want Him to be !!!!!!

Really REPENT and really get saved and be BORN again
not of the corruptable but of the incorruptable

JESUS CHRIST is LORD

And GOD is HOLY and He said Be ye Holy as I Am Holy

and if SIN is in GOd is not

BUT

IF GOD comes IN
Sin goes OUT !!!
