for a clear skin, try this method i saw on youtube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=V61IJIE7sH4
this girl also advises you to create your own exfoliating scrub using olive oil. i quote her,
"Olive Oil Sugar Scrub. It is very good for dry skin and acne. Also, it helps heal blemishes too and retains natural moisture in your skin. No the olive oil will not clog your pores. Ancient Greeks used to wash their faces with Olive Oil and Italian women swear by this natural miracle product.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons of EXTRA Virgin Olive Oil - Must be extra virgin, not virgin olive oil or regular olive oil and for goodness sake you cannot slather on frying grease on your face...are you crazy?!
1/2 cup of Granulated Sugar - I swear if I hear one more person asking me if they can use splenda instead I will slap a hoe!
2 tablespoons of Honey - Any honey is fine, and if you are allergic to honey, DO NOT use it! Substitute it with aloe vera.
Mix it all together in a plastic container with a lid (that way you can save the rest for next time).
The mixture should not be too liquidy, oily or grainy. It should feel mushy, depending on what honey, sugar or olive oil you have. It should have a mushy consistency.
Wash your face with your regular cleansers.
Then apply this mixture on your face, evenly exfoliating your skin. The sugar will remove dead skin cells and the olive oil and honey will nourish your skin keeping it moisturized. I say leave this treatment on for 2 minutes.
Wash your face with warm water.
Pay dry and treat and moisturize your face.
Your skin should not feel slippery or oily, if it does you added way too much olive oil. It should feel soft and moisturized. You should automatically see a glow in your skin due to the honey and olive oil.
TIPS:
You can also use this treatment as a body scrub!
Leave the mixture in the plastic container out. Do not refrigerate it or else the olive oil will solidify."

For the pimples and acne I must say I put much trust in a new product that came out a little while ago called Zeno(http://www.myzeno.com)
Works very well and gets rid of the pimples and acne very quick or so the reviews and people say. The blackheads now I'm sure any department store like CVS or Riteaid will have something for that.

Blackheads are merely big pores w/ DIRT in them! So washing yoru face twice a day (or more) is vital! Get some "Clean & Clear" or other brand for oily skin and get to work.
Whiteheads are big pores w/ oil/grease trapped in them. Washing twice daiy (see above) will take care of these, too.
Pimples are when pores get clogged and usually infected. A dab on the spot with a product containing benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid will stop them. Oh, and washing your face (see above).
Edited to say: Oh yeah, change your pillowcase twice a week. It traps oils that you then cram your face into every night! Ick!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Use diet and nutrition to get rid of it. Believe me, you can try the medications and stuff but that will just cost you money, time , aggravation, and more frustration.
The cheapest way to get rid of it is with diet.
Acne is a symptom of a weak liver and poor digestion. There are lots of foods in the western diet that the body can not digest naturally, because we were not made to digest them in the first place. Such foods are: refined sugar (in candy and desserts), dairy products (since they come from cows) and meat (as humans are in essence, herbivores.) So in the least, it might serve your friend well to stay away from dairy products and candy and sweets-at least until she can get her digestive system up to snuff.
The way you can do this is to eat foods that are more natural for the body to digest. I've had acne for most of my adult life and found that a diet of salads with celery, cucumber and carrots worked the best. (You can also supplement this sort of diet with fish if you are not interested in vegetables that give you protein...fish isn't infused with hormones like most meat is...??But if you do want to buy meat, it's best to buy organic meat)
There are also many herbs you can try to cleanse the body of toxic buildup: one is dandelion root, another is peppermint (as in, peppermint tea). You can buy many teas at your grocery store; the herbs you can buy at a pharmacy or health food store.
Hope this helps a little bit. You can find more advice on my blog about the raw food diet at:
http://rawawareness.blogspot.com/2007/09/acne-cures-natural-remedies-and-other.html
There's a lot more info there are how to use diet to help clear up your complexion.
Hope it helps. Best of luck :)

I would suggest going to a dermatologist and having him/her prescribe a topical medication like Retin-A 0.025% cream. I've used this for a couple of years now, and it really keeps me from breaking out. If your friend has very oily skin, Retin-A also comes in a gel form which will help 'dry out' the skin. Hope this help!

Wash your face before going to bed. I use a scrub made by St. Ives whenever I shower. I use it on my face, neck, shoulders. Drink a lot of water.
