My son is 17 soon to be 18 in Feb. He likes this little girl that is 14..she will be 15 in March. I am very uncomfortable with this. I am trying to protect my son from getting in trouble. His friends even harass him about seeing such a young girl. I have really tried to ignore this thinking that the problem would go away..but it hasn't yet. Any suggestions?

let it play out. chances are that the age difference will provide its own set of problems, and the relationship will not last long. that way he can learn from it, and won't get mad at you. by preventing it, you'll make them want each other more. If they do start dating, and you're uncomfortable with it, supervise them. also it depends on the girl. some girls can handle dating an older guy because they themselves are very mature.

this is going on the assumption that your son is a decent kid, and isn't trying to use this girl.

why does it bother you? its her parents that should be worried! he has to make his own mistakes and he wont appreciate you telling him what he can and cant do at 17.
