i would say get a gm truck or a ford because they've been making trucks for a long time and toyota tundra has been nailed by j.d power and assoc. for some reliability issues

As always avoid the first year model of any vehicle. So far no issues with the 08 Tundra's. The 5.7L engine is the way to go, they're getting better fuel economy than the 4.7L due to the extra gear in the tranny with the 5.7L engine. Toyota has always built quality trucks and cars, and they listen to their customers when something isn't right and get the problems fixed.

i know a guy that put over a thousand miles on his 05(i think) tundra. He had no problems with it whatsoever and he just bought a new one.
I would say they are very reliable.

its a great truck - i love them. out of any toyota, you can typically get over a hundred thousand, usually lots more though. i just rolled 90,000 on my sequoia, and have had no serious problems with it. give it a shot!
