He packed his things and disapeared. He owes child support and his family can't afford to feed themselves!

Whcwarrior_10, Him packing his things does not mean he lived with them, it means he lived SOMEWHERE. Your logic fails through out your whole answer.

This is what my mom did. She looked in the trash to see if he left any "evidence" behind. Luckily, he did. He left airport information. So she called the airport and explained about him, his conditions and whatnot. They alerted the FBI. He returned on his own and changed his mind about staying gone. That time.

there are things in this story that do not make sense. 1. he packed his things and left. which indicates he was living with his family. 2. he owes child support. he was living with his family and paying child support?? If child support was awarded, there must have been a divorce. why would a divorced man still be living with his family. Perhaps, the family that is unable to support themselves, should have thought about that before taking this man to court for said child support.
Now, that aside. The fact that this person owes child support, does not prohibit him from going wherever he wishes. child support does not confine someone to a house.
Contrry to many posters here, you will need a court order to have him picked up, and he must be behind substantially on child support, and even then, there are many law enforcement agencies that will not persue him for that.

Local t.v station or the radio. Newspapers with a picture work well too. You can always go to the police department to start a search for them and explain he owes child support. Those are the most succesful.

Where do you think he would go? Friends, family?
Hire a private detective to find him. Obviously, he doesn't want to be found.
