try a natural grocery. i am a pastry chef at a natural grocery and we sell buttermilk powder -

i would think that buttermilk FLOUR would be flour with powdered buttermilk mixed in at a specific ratio.

i think i would measure out a cup of flour, remove one tablespoon of flour, and add one tablespoon of buttermilk powder. that would be a safe start. you may have to tinker with it a bit, but it should work.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as "buttermilk flour."

You are probably looking at a recipe with a typo. What you need is flour, and buttermilk.

However, there is a powdered buttermilk substitute which gives baked good the taste of buttermilk when you don't have the real thing.

What are you cooking?

As high as gas is and you are running around town looking for a product that may not even exist on earth let alone your town.

Pancakes and Biscuits require All Puprose Flour and BUTTERMILK for the liquid.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out!

You're probably looking for powdered buttermilk. It's usually with the baking supplies, orangey-yellow can w/ blue script writing and a drawing o fa chef in a hat on the front. Squat paper can w/ snap-on lid.

Are you trying to make buttermilk pancakes???

You would use all-purpose flour, but add buttermilk, which is in the dairy aisle, alongside whole, 2%, skim, milk.
