Are PS3's worth it?

For this christmas, I just got money. And i've just looked, and relised I have enough for an 80gb PS3. But, i'm not sure if they're worth it.
Are they? Because if I did buy one id only have like 10pound left lol.

EDIT: Dont tell me to buy an XBox360.
I allready have one lol.

Yes the PS3 is worth it. Just buying Metal Gear Solid 4 is a good enough reason to get a PS3, but there are many, many more awesome exclusive games coming out in 2008 for the PS3.

Last year when I got my PS3, all I bought was the PS3 and no game at all. I spent everything I had saved up on the PS3. If you want something bad enough, you'll do almost anything to have it.

The PS3 is very reliable, it has a lot more built in features than the Xbox 360, and has more advanced technology. The PS3 is the future of gaming and that's a fact.

Well I live in Canada so I'm not sure how much 10 pounds is, but I am asuming it's not much. I just got an Xbox 360 for Christmas with Halo 3 and couldn't stop playing it since. I've also looked at some of the games for it and they look spectacular. I don't know about other people but I think that the PS3's are good too, but the prices are a bit high. So I just got the Xbox 360. And it's really awesome to. So it's up to you, both systems are really good so it's up to you. Both are worth it.

Dude im going to tell you this once lol , the ps3 is a multimedia system , the games AT THE MOMENT on the 360 are better but the ps3 system is much advanced and if you wait 5 months the games will start to be awesome. Yea, it is worth it... I have a 40GB PS3 and its amazing... I have Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, COD4, Star Wars the Complete Saga, and GH3 and their good.

The 40GB PS3 does not have backwards compatiblity, and only has 2 controller slots (USB ports)

The graphics are really amazing, the internet or network [w/e] are free. I recomend get it.

I don't have Xbox 360, but my friend does and its good too... but then again you have to pay to go and use Xbox Live---

I'd definately say that they are worth it....only thing is youre better off with the 60G cuz that console is compatible with ps2 games as well. But the graphics are great....and the games as well. If you do get one make sure to check out Assassin's Creed and Resistance....awesome games.

Also try getting a used one on ebay...i got mine there for a great price, games included, practically brand new.

if you've got a usb headset, mouse, and keyboard then get the 80gb because the camera will probably be usb also. then the controller recharger is usb too. 2 usb ports are not enough for me.
If you still want to play ps2 games then get the 80gb.
you can get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and get the 40gb.

One thing that you have to keep in mind is that you are also getting the BluRay player portion of it, and BluRay players can be very expensive. The graphics are incredible. Online play is free. I really love mine, I'd say it's worth it.

dude buy it its worth it trust me i spent all my money on mine yesterday and get the 80gb 40gb is okay but idk
