"Something similar" is that they are both fairy tales.
"Something dissimilar" is all the reason people need to kill each other over.

Gosh you are so wrong about the Koran not changing, it is sad.
There are huge differences between Islam and Christianity.
In Islam, you have no way of knowing whether you are good enough to get into heaven, because nothing you can do in your life will make you perfect enough by God's standard of perfection.
In Christianity, Jesus himself made sure that we can get into heaven, not because of anything WE do, but all because of what HE did for us.
Another difference between Christianity and Islam are that Jesus said he was God and Mohammed said Jesus was just a prophet, yet at the same time saying Jesus was a liar.
Jesus never killed anyone, and Mohammed did.
Jesus lived a life of caring for children--even bringing them back to life from death, and Mohammed married a 9 year old child and had sex with her--which cannot be justified under any cultural circumstance.
Below is a link for you about the origins of the Koran.
The Bible, being older, is the original scripture. If it is different from the Koran, it is because the Koran is incorrect.

It's definitely false in one or the other. Obviously Christians believe the Bible is correct, so it has to be false in the Quran. I'm sure you don't like to hear that, but both of us can't be right.

Similar: God is the almighty creator of the universe who loves us unconditionally. Our true freedom lies in total surrender to His will.
Dissimilar: Christians (that would be me) believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who was crucified for our redemption. Muslims believe that Jesus was a holy man, a prophet, the second-to-last prophet before Mohammed.
Only a few dumb Christians believe that righteous Muslims will not be saved, and only a few dumb Muslims believe that righteous Christians will not be saved.
Maybe I should be more charitable, as both the Bible and Koran command, and say "misguided" instead of "dumb".
