Corn oil is a vegetable oil, but not all oils are made from corn. The differences between the corn oil and the other vegetable oils can be either a matter of taste, or in the case of making Bio-diesel a matter of extreme importance in the long run.

Well corn IS a vegetable but if a recipe calls for vegetable oil or corn oil either or can be used as well as canola oil.

No. Corn oil is oil from corn. Veg oil is a blend of different oils such as palm kernel, cottonseed, sunflower, etc. Corn oil has a different flavor as well. Hope this helps.
