Instead of paying $3 for every stock transaction, I decided to do it myself with the help of some savvy commercial software program designed specifically for traders with wash sales.

But the question is how do I e-file now?

Since the schedule C is a hard copy, how do I go about doing this?

Any suggestions? I'm going to use H&R Block next month.

Is it possible that H&R Block can download the spreadsheet into their system if I bring it on a USB?

I doubt it since - by looking at their computers, they don't exactly look like state-of-the-art machines....

Any thoughts?

First off, it's not a loooong schedule C, it's a looooong schedule D.

And worse, if you have to override the totals to put them into Turbotax, you won't be eligible to efile anyway.

The excel spreadsheet with the same columns as schedule d-1 is fine.

I think that you mean Schedule D....not C.

And....No....Block's, nor anybody else's software to my knowledge, will import an Excel spreadsheet....or CSV file....or text file.
