I will try to help here a little bit.
Firstly, using a slow cooker is not barbeque--it is stewing or braising. So.........make a sauce to finish them.
I would suggest that, dry them, brown them (this creates flavor) then place them in the cooker.
Place finely chopped onions and minced garlic, pureed tomatoes, some brown sugar, some pepper flakes to taste, a little cumin, cracked peper, sweet paprika, a little vinegar, and a litle bourbon. Add some vegetable or chicken broth (unsalted if possible), some ketchup.......................Cook the appropriate time for the quantity and remove.
Place liquid in a pan and reduce up to half.
Season with more of the same spices while reducing--it will thicken in this process...........strain (or not) and pour over ribs.
This is a skeletal method as I know nothing except what is in your question.
Hope this helps.

Yum - pork ribs can be really good in a crock pot, if they're done right!
5 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown mustard
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup water
3 tablespoons dark cider vinegar
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
Simmer the pork for 20-30 minutes to decrease fat, & meanwhile mix all other ingredients together in a large enough bowl and stir to mix well.
Put pork in the crock pot, adding sauce as you go, until you get to about an inch from the top.
Put on the lid, turn on high and let it cook for about 5 hours, or low for 8 hours
Enjoy!!

These are very tastey! :)
Sweet and Spicy Ribs
1/4 cup butter
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
1 cup French Dressing
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. ground cumin
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
5 lbs. spareribs, baby back or country-style ribs
Preheat oven to 375°.In large saucepan, melt butter and cook onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 5 minutes or until tender. Add to the crockpot with all the other ingredients, turn the pot on low.
Meanwhile, in large aluminum-foil-lined baking pan or on broiler rack, arrange spareribs, meaty side up, and bake 7 minutes per-side or until browned. Add to the crockpot. Simmer on low for at least 4 hours, longer for a more tender meat.

OMG!!! My husband and I just made some that were very good. I like my BBQ on the sweet side, but you could use any sauce.
I first boiled them in water with some salt and herbs for about 40 minutes.
Then I transferred them to the slow cooker and used one bottle of Jack Daniel's Hickory Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce and one bottle of Kraft Honey BBQ Sauce. Then I rinsed each bottle out with about a cup of apple juice, pouring it into the crockpot and then stirring to mix.
Even my kids liked this recipe. :o)

These are my favorite cut when I want ribs, even more than baby back b/c they have so much meat.
However, I would not recommend a slow cooker UNLESS you don't mind a LOT of grease. They are a pretty fatty cut, and will be sittting in their own grease for hours.
I usually season w/ S&P, garlic powder, onion powder, and put on a broiler rack w/ pan under it (to catch grease). Cover w/ foil, and bake 350ºF for about 1½ hours. Remove foil, allow to "dry out" and baste w/ BBQ sauce for another 30 min.

Most of the suggestions for the crock pot are good, just a couple of extra tips:
1. Line the crock pot with aluminum foil, it will give them the "bar-b-Que" attitude.
2. Brown the outside of the ribs in a fairly hot skillet before putting them in, this will help seal in the moisture and just tastes better!!!

Marinade them in some cheap burgandy before you put them on the grill... then use whatever sauce you want to use... but I like them with just the simple marinade and don't put BBQ sauce on them
