Hey there. Ok now all factors need to be considered. Are there is has there been drugs involved, or excessive drinking. Perhaps a hint of mental illness in the family?
either way every one goes through a form of paranoia at some point in there life. At when it happens to you it fells so real! Now you go to illiminate the fears. Lets say someone was watching you, which they are not. If they wanted to hurt you they would of by now. when ur brain starts going crazy, try to meditate. i know it sounds heavy, but it works. Start by slowing down ur breathing and focusing only on that. thoughts will continuoly pop into ur mind but turn ur attention back to ur beathing and focus on it. one by one the negative thoughts will disapear. untill you become relaxed and comfortable. This is entering the beginning stages of meditation. It is here that it is easy to fall asleep. if thats what ur after. you will sleep well, and peacfully. also try to think of a warm bright ligtht when doing this. you will be strangly comforted. Hope this helps. happy sleeping!

I do that alot. I usually watch a movie that is scary and feel like someone is watching me. But if you just get these feelings from not watching horror movies and you always feel like this at night. Then take a hot shower to help you relax then get out and watch a funny movie. Im sure you'd fall asleep during it.

There could be several reasons why this is happening...Here are some I can think of...
*Your house is haunted by an annoying ghost who won' t let you sleep.
*You ate or drank something before you went to bed.
*You just aren't tired.
*You are not used to going to bed at whatever hour you are sleeping at.
*You have some kind of disorder that you need to figure out.
*You have too much on your mind.
*You are not relaxed and calm.
*You need a different a mattress...I know I need one.

I do the same thing. I think it just has to do that when we are tired we feel most vunerable, and most of the scary things and crimes happen during the night, and when you go to bed its usually dark so you tend to get a bit paranoid. =)

i think it is anxiety, i used to get it alot but i learned to relax my mind and free the energy from the room. if there are spirits acknowledge their presense by saying,
"i acknowlege your presense, welcome. i am trying to sleep please be gone"
always works
