i am 16, 140pounds and 5'2.5" my goal weight is 118 by Feb 9th.

i was thinking of consuming 1200 calories a day, and as for daily exercise, would this be okay?

10-15mins of stretching
2 miles of jogging (5-6mph)
crunches (straight through one song)
arm exercise twice (my friend showed me this. its basically a cheerlearders routine, 16 steps, and i'd be holding two 5pound weights. after doing the routine once with the weights, ur arms begin to ache, so i figured i should do it twice a day)

it takes about 30-40 mins to complete the above. its not that difficult to do i just need to stick to it.

Exercising with that amount of calories is very, VERY, bad. Your body will began to slow down metabolism and you may end up going into conservation/starvation mode. You need to eat within a range of calories and in your case you are eating (with after workout) about <1000 calories (assuming you burn more than 200 calories with exercise)

DO NOT DO THAT
1200 is perhaps the limit for anyone to consume before it's not adeqaute.

Continue exercising, but please, for yourself, eat around 1700-2000 calories. If you don't exercise for that day, consume around 1700. If you do exercise, consume around 2000.

Good luck.

You can probably plan to lose about 10-12 pounds in the time you have allowed yourself. That isn't really a huge amount of exercise and should be easy to manage.

Yeah its fine to me. but dont become to obsessed though. you can take a break for one day or soo then start again. I exercise the same amount of time as you everyday. But I take breaks also. Your muscles needs rest. So yes it is fine dont worry. and drink lots of water also. while you workout or something. it helps you lose weight.

As far as the calories go, dont worry about counting them! Just eat healthy, (lay off the sweets and sodas)

As far as the exercise, it sounds good, but exercise is all about the level of intesity you work out with!

I could do that same exercise one day and burn 30 cals. and do it the next and burn 500 cals.

Intensity, intensity, intensity!!

Good luck

to me, it seems like a good plan. but i also think you shouldn't get too obsessed with it. my sister did a very similar workout, but she ended up all muscle, and unhappy with it because she worked out too much!!
