My husband has been terribly ill since 19th December, near death situation, he bled from the mouth profusely and it seemed that his liver had swollen and perferatedhis stomach and Oesophesus. (can't spelll it) He had to have all his insides bandaged to stop the bleeding of life blood.
Because it was Christmas he was allowed home. He has to go back in a few days.
While he has been at home, he is deteriating again. He can't tolerate food or liquid.
I was getting to the end of my tether, because he is quite stubborn and has been difficult at times. I know, I should be Nurse Nightingale and usually I am marvelous with the sick, but being so low myself we had a few words. I whipped down the tree and the trimmings, took all the cards down and said something like 'It has been a horrible Christmas and it Pagan anyway.'
Then someone knocked on the door. Standing there were two men from a religious sect. I think they came as a sign to calm me down. I half think it wasn't just a co-incidence?

Yes indeed, I agree, he should have stayed in hospital it was only because of Christmas he came out, and he was doing so well. He's lost a stone in 2 days. We are going to see the doctor at 12 oclock.
Yes when in trouble you do look for signs don't you.

I hope you found some consolation but beware. It is difficult to look after a very sick person because they feel there independence is threatened and they know that at least for a time it is a fact and do not like it. You are meeting yourself coming back and are tired. It is natural the way you feel. I hope your husband is returned to health soon and you regain your usual nature so I wish you both a very happy and healthy New Year. God bless you both

It sounds as if your husband should have stayed in hospital.I know it's a strain but try and persuade him it is best for him to return there.I had a friend who's Oesophagus had perforated and he nearly bled to death inside it was only a chance visit by his doctor that saved his life,coincidence?Whatever you believe taking the safe road always pays off.

I believe everything happens for a reason. Who were these guys and did they manage to answer any of your questions? Did they calm you down a little bit?
Having ill people can be so awful, my father in law had cancer but refused to see a doctor for thirteen years! (his daughter is a medical scientist so it was her that told us all he had cancer) Its so frustrating when you're frightened that they may be dying but they just won't help themselves. You're husband is pretty scared too, you've both really got to be patient with each other.
I hope the guys at the door helped you, at least they made you step back and think.

i'm sad that the holidays are difficult for you and your husband. it probably was a God-incidence. if they calmed you and gave you some peace, then i'm glad.
