theres this shy guy i have a crush on and well i was talking to him online through messaging and we talked back and forth and then the last message i sent was telling him that winter break is boring and i miss him. I checked to see if he read my message. he read it but he didnt reply. why? it makes me sad thinking maybe he didnt because he doesnt liek me or he doesnt care. please tell me what this might mean. im tired of being sad. Why didnt he reply?

I sometimes read mail, then wait to answer it. Particularly if it's important and I don't have time to compose something good.
Give him a chance. Maybe his break isn't quite as boring as yours? :o)

Well, it could be as simple as him being a typical guy. My fiance gets so mad at me for not checking my facebook, and myspace account on an hourly basis. We don't like to talk on the phone, and we don't like to continually converse. Also, we can't always read between the lines. He could possibly think that you are just making a general statement about the break being boring. Anyways, try and have something in a very friend-like setting, planned for his return (i.e. movies, bowling, hiking, etc). Send him another message saying that when he gets back, that you both need to go do said activity before the break ends, and throw in some additional friends names as possible guests, this should make him feel more comfortable with the situation as well. (since he is shy)

Maybe he just had to go and didn't have time to reply to you. Maybe he is just scared and doesn't know what to say. Maybe he doesn't like you. Whatever the case don't be sad over it. I mean he's not your boyfriend or anything. Not every guy you like will like you. It sucks but its the truth. There are alot of other guys out there and you will find someone for you don't stress cuz this kid didn't reply to you on MySpace, damn.

First of all u go girl teach me to be that cofident with a guy i like and don't stress It at all guys are like that. I was txting my crush like over the summer and said that I told him that maybe we could go To the movies tgether but he didn't answer I txted him later but didn't mention the movies and wen I saw that he didn't mention it I told him that what about going somewhere and he told me he liked me since the beggenting of the year but he was to shy to say anything but now we r together. So he probably likes u but is to shy to tell u start a conversation like hey I was just wondering who u like and trust me I won't tell if he didn't say anything use ur friends phone and ask him but dont say is u and say u like him dont go to far to bug him cuz then he will tell u ur a jerk good luck :) ;)

It's hard to say without knowing him. He might not feel the same way about you, and didn't want to hurt your feelings so he just didn't say anything. Or, he's shy and confused and just doesn't know what to say. Guys are confusing, good luck!
ps. the shy ones are the ones going after, in my experience.

maybe he didn't see a point in replying. It depends, did you send him a question? Because if you just sent "winter vacation is boring, i miss you". He was probobly like "oh she misses me. thats nice". and felt no need to reply. Don't work yourself up about it.

maybe since he's shy you kinda scared him. guys can be scared away even if they like a girl but are uncomfortable with something she said. it doesnt mean he doesnt like you or that he doesnt care, it could just be his personality that made him not reply.

Maybe his computer crashed. That happened to me while I was talking to someone and they thought they'd said something to make me mad.
Give it some time and try not to worry. I know that's not easy, but try to get into a book, some music, something to take your mind off it.

maybe he does not know how to respond.
send a message saying sorry you did not mean to upset him
see if that gets a bite.
as above maybe he did not have time to reply.
