I have been playing on-line poker for about 4 years. At first I lost money, but eventually as I got to be a better player I started to win. I play against real people also and do very well these days. I have definitely won more then I have lost. It took lots and lots of practice and reading a ton of books, but eventually I became a consistent ,winning player. I do enjoy playing against live opponents more than on-line though. I get to read the other players and that is a big advantage if you can do it right. Watching poker on TV is also a great way to learn and I watch it whenever it is on. I hope to be playing against some of those players someday. I am working on it, but I do have a family and the security of a full time job is my primary concern. Eventually, I will win a big tournament and perhaps will do it full time. I can't wait...

If you are in the US play on Full Tilt or PokerStars. If out of the US those 2 and Party Poker.
They are the 3 biggest and have the most play money players on at any given time.
PokerStars has the best interface.

Try PokerStars. I've tried other sites, but PokerStars is the one I like best.
