it is sometimes a nuerotic dermatitis. Overgrooming caused by stress and/or anxiety. I know this because one of my cats had it. The vet gave her a steroid shot. She got better but then it happened again and I do not want her on steroids, too many side effects. The vet did say to break a fish oil capsule over her food, the Omega is good for the coat. Also I buy Purina One which is high in Omega 3. You can try brushing to stimulate oil, sometimes they are just dry. I hope this helps.

It is possible she has developed an allergy or a skin disorder. Since the areas you described are typically hard to reach with the cat's mouth, it's possible that she is having difficulty cleaning the affected area. It is also possible to have ringworm, which causes hair loss, too. Stress and a change in diet are also likely causes of hair loss.

Look closely at the skin in those areas. Is it bright pink? Swollen? Scaly? Ashy? Broken? If it is irritated in any way, she should be seen by a vet.

Have you tried to change its food? It could be that. It could also be some skin problem or even allergy that could be easily treated. The best thing is to book an appointment with a vet to find out what is happening. Don't wait until it gets too bad. Good luck!

This is commonly caused by FLEA allergies. Treat her for fleas and treat your HOUSE too.

If that isn't the problem, bring her to a vet.

Good luck!
