Who knows? Current theory says that the material was generated by some ancient star. Gravity pulled it together. We don't know the specifics yet.
So, why are you asking atheists this? Did we ever say we had all the answers?
Or are you trying to insinuate that your pat superstitious answer is better than admitting where we lack in knowledge?
Sorry, but human ignorance about a topic doesn't demonstrate the existence of a god.

Athiests are dumb.
I mean who would believe that particles attract each other by an ever increasing rate because Newtons law that states "all objects that have mass have energy" which includes gravitational energy to attract floating particles and over billions of years have a pretty good sized rock.
that's just stupid, everyone smart knows that an invisible guy pulled it out of his *** along with every other galaxy. durr

I am not an Atheist, because too many religions quote that in the beginning there was nothingness.

I am not a scientist, but I think there are plenty of scientific journals that have some solid theories on this. Try googling "The Big Bang".

Ionno. I don't really care. The Big Bang sounds promising, but, really, why don't we focus on LIVING, rather than WHY?
And YOU, sir, should focus on how to make nouns into plurals. (Hint: add an "s")
