Here is a good website talking about addiction and phyical dependence. Here is a quote..."Physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms from sedative-hypnotic drugs such as alcohol will develop in anyone exposed to the drug long enough, regularly enough and in a sufficient dosage if intake is suddenly curtailed."

You should be able to get all the information you need on Alcoholism and Alcohol addictions this the the Information Highway, for your research paper. Alcohol is a toxic substance it will make one ill. It is addictive. Often the ones that drink are in denial an think they can stop at any time, however, they fall back and cannot detach from drinking alcohol. They can get help in Rehab, or Alcoholic Anonymous where they follow a 12 step Program.

Yes, just google alcohol addiction and or alcohol withdrawal.
Detoxing now, believe me the shakes, nausea, hallucinations all are real effects of withdrawal and physical addiction.

Yes, absolutely, 100% it is. Anyone who says physical addiction does not exist knows absolutely nothing about the disease of addiction.

Alcohol affects the mind and you feel that you have to have it. It just makes your mind feel that you are physically addicted.

Yes.
And ignore the idiot that says addiction is all mental, because it's not. IE crack/cocaine/methamphetamines.
Addiction is a very real, very scientific state.
