I worked in Japan as an intern for a year, along with 5 other coops. At the end of the year, we ALL lost weight. I didn't lose much, about 5lbs. The most dramatic was this guy who was about 180lbs but dropped to about 150lbs. The average for the other 4 were about 10-20lbs, still pretty dramatic.
The most amazing thing was, none of us deliberately tried to lose weight nor work out any more/less than we normally did.
We realized the secret was the diet. Since we lived in the company dormitory, we normally ate their food. Japanese meals consisted of a lot of veggies and not much red meat. The meat is usually fish.
So, if you are not motivated to workout, just change your diet. You'll be surprised how little work it is. Besides, salad and fish is much easier to prepare than say meat ball spaghetti.
Cheers.

You need to get a friend or family member who wants to lose weight to be a "buddy" so you can do it together. It is always easier to lose weight with a friend because you can call each other when temptation strikes and help each other get over the cravings. Also, have you tried eating 6 times a day??? I know it sounds nuts but it really works because you are keeping your metabolism up and that makes you lose weight. There is a book you can get called "The Three Hour Diet" and it tells you everything you can eat, which is basically whatever you normally eat, and how much you can have. It is very easy to follow and I'm sure you will be able to do it!!
When you start to see the pounds coming off (usually within a week or two!) it will give you the confidence you need to keep on going. YOU CAN DO IT !!! Good Luck!!

Im in the same situation, and ive tried lots of things which dont seem to work... im usually way to busy to work out and what not, and yes eating more then 3 times a day does help, because the less calories you eat the less fat is burned.. But dont just choose something with a lot of calories, because some of those calories can be fat, so choose carefully... The worst thing to do is stop eating, ive tried that and it made me real sick... Making a daily schedule helps too... ive made one and its deffinetly showing. The more you try the more your confidence and self esteem will become stronger. There is this book my dad got its called The Weight Loss Cure by Kevin Trudeau, really helps you understand which food is better then others and it has ideas that would help you too
Go here and read about it... http://www.weightlosscuresbook.com/MVT2b_09_21_2007.asp?
Good Luck!

The problem is you aren't really motivated to lose weight. Dieting is mostly willpower, you have to want to stick to it. One thing that might help is keeping a food journal of the number of calories you eat, along with the amount of weight you lose each week. Set a goal of 5 pounds, 10 pounds etc. Instead of the total you wish to lose. Then you will feel successful after only a short while, and that may help you to set and reach more goals. Reward yourself in some way when you do reach a goal, just not with over-eating. Shopping for food, and looking for low-calorie recipes that you prepare for your family might also make you feel motivated. I really got into it and had a new hobby trying to make my favorite foods low calorie. The rest of your family will benefit too, even if they aren't overweight. Good Luck.

You have to change your diet. Any exercise you do will be in vain if you don't watch what you eat. I know this is probably the hardest thing to do for many people but its something you have to force yourself to do. If you feel hugry eat a watery fruit like an apple or orange or something that is negative calorie.
A battle to lose weight is a battle mostly fought in the head. remember that.
