...I don't feel threatened or scared by it's presence though it does do funny things sometimes and makes itself known to us... what do we do - if anything?

ignore it...there are no ghosts, just ideas. There's a "ghost" in our house too. Sometimes we smell cigarette smoke and my sisters bf gets locked out in the garage sometimes so we say it's "max" (lol didn't we get creative with the name?) any ways I think it's just fun to think there's something but there's not.

I like the stupid answers u have gotten so far. Mostly from 12 year olds and teens with nothing to do.
Ghosts from what I have read, seldom notice you at all. Stuck in a time frame so to speak. Others ghosts it seems must understand that there are people in the house and observe how they are treating the house and how its taken care of. I don't think scientists really know for sure what its all about. A author named Hans Holtzer, a ghost hunter, would be a good read. I think that is how u spell his name. One book he did was called, Yankee Ghost. check it out since u sound interested. I have seen ghosts as well growing up. One I saw scared the hell out of me when I was young but it did nothing to me. I think it was a he and it was watching over me.

Well if it doesn't bother you, then why not? Nice ghosts are known to the history of supernatural sightings and stuff. Just take it as another person in the house. But I'd be careful if starts doing things that bother you.

First its great that you are not freaking out or anything. Most people do!! You can tell it to leave if you don't like it there. If its no bother then just leave it alone. Most ghost are here because they are not aware they are dead yet. Some ghost are our family members just letting us know they are still around watching over us. Look ghosts up on line and you can learn lots more. Good Luck!

In reference to the Ghost in your house! if it is friendly, and
you're not disturbed by it's presence, then leave it alone,
but because you don't really know who the ghost is! and how
it got there, you should burn church incense, and white sage
to remove it from your home. Smoke the whole place out,
saying the 27th Psalm as you cleanse.

Ghost i believe are decieving demons , brought to you cause they see some weakness to pick at. Really though you should never be ignorant enough to take it as a non-threat or underestimate it , cause they are more powerful then any human ( see demon possesions) the only strength you'll have against something like that is through jesus. If your ever fearful of it remember its just a branch or some from of creation fallen from god , why fear this creation when the all powerful creator will protect you if you have faith and call upon him. Just read/study the bible on how to rebuke it from your mind and home ( you should be fine IMO)
Though it does state that when you cast out a demon from a human it brings back 7 others and is more powerful ( honestly contact a gospel leader of some sort for help )

If you don't feel threatened or scared then its not a problem. Sometimes these spirits are Kin spirits or just passing by ones that like you and your family and place.
Ghosts can communicate with you but usually it is in a form of telepathy. It may be interesting to see just who they are. Always remain in control and if problems arise just ask them to leave.

Funny responses, but this is serious.
First thing I'd do is check for hidden ghost cameras... Who knows what they're recording ...

I think I have the same thing in my house. The best thing to do is just get to try and know it and make friends with it. However, it is that you can.

Set up some recording equipment.... a TV on white noise or at the very least some sort of tape recorder and see if you pick up anything. There is not much you can do to rid yourself of it but at the very least you can be entertained by it
