He is a Siamese cat.
His brother is a very skinny cat, who hardly ever gets to eat because he is always guarding the food-dish. Is there anything that I can do? The one who guards the dish if very over-weight.

When we introduced new adult cats here they were always fed in different corners of the kitchen and with their backs to each other. But any shy/easily scared off cats were fed in the bathroom with the door closed so none of the others could push them off their food.

If you've got an overweight cat, don't free feed. Put the food bowls down 4 times a day for 15 minutes each, and take them up again after the time is up. Still feed the thin one in a different room, but by restricting access to 4 times a day, your big guy will loose some weight yet still get enough food.

If there is a space that the less aggressive cat often stays then place an extra bowl there or try different foods one cat may prefer one type of food over another

Try giving each cat their own eating dishes......and feed them at the same time...so the more aggressive one will be too busy eating to bother his brother.

the fat one needs to be fed in a separate room, and should not have access to food all the time.
use common sense and get two bowls.
