It won't matter too much. However it would be a good idea to try to restore it to the original level. Easiest way to do it is using a turkey baster (very useful when it comes to car maintenance) and remove the excess amount.

It will not burst the lid unless you take the car racing and it overheats.:)

It might be worth bleeding the radiator as well (like you would the central heating radiators in your house). There should be a bleed screw on the top of the radiator. With the engine cold, unscrew it, but make sure the radiator cap is unscrewed as well. You will hear a hissing sound and the coolant level may change as well. After this remove any excess coolant/antifreeze and screw everything back up. This way your antifreeze/cooling system will be kept in A1 condition.

Good luck whatever you decide.

You can't overfill a radiator so if the reservoir tank is above the fill line just suck the extra anti freeze out with an old turkey baster. You might also be able to pull the reservoir line off at the radiator and drain a bit out. It's not going to hurt anything, just get messy.

It would'nt be a bad idea to take some out. (If you take some out, and need to dispose of it, take it to an oil change facility,They should let you drain it into their used oil container.), (It's against the law to just pour it out on the ground, You could into major trouble if you get caught doing that) At the auto parts store, they have a thing that you could get that looks like what you might baste a turkey with. It's made to suck out stuff like that. It's a suction ball with a tube connected to it. tell them what you want to do , they should be able to help you get the right thing. Good luck

Nothing will happen. That is just a recommended amount.
