I went to see my doctor and he told me I have to go to a neorolgist ( a nerve doctor) but my appointment is not till Feb. Has this ever happened to anyone and which doctor did you go too and what was it? Some one else told me it could be my sinus and to go to Ear, nose , and throat doctor? HELP???

I know how you feel. I have had my smell since October of 2006 and my taste for about 3 months. I have some other health issues though so that is what these stupid docs are passing the buck too, feel better, good luck!

If you had a sinus infection or bad cold, that could cause the problem. I think your regular doctor would have checked you for that. See what the neurologist has to say.

This just happened to me tonight, I can't taste either and I was in detox for opiate withdrawal, just got out. Are you in a detox stage perhaps?
