Do you, as a Christian, believe that because I deny Jesus absolutely and completely, I am either:
1. the Antichrist.
or
2. have the "Antichrist Spirit"?
I have been told I am both, by various Christians.
Please explain why you believe whichever one you choose. Thanks.
(and no -- no one will be reported by me, I really just want to know your answers, just for my own knowledge.)

James Bond, the reason that I gave two options was because those happen to be the two options I was given and told that I am. If I had been given other options, I would have posted those as well. So bugger off.

Ah! So that's where that comes from. It's actually in the Christian scripture. Thank you Revulashun for giving that verse.

1John 2:22 says, "Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son." (NKJV)
You deny that Jesus is the Christ, therefore, according to this verse you are an antichrist.
You may be a good, morale, friendly person, but Jesus said "if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)
Jesus said, "He that is not against us is for us." (Luke 9:50)
The opposite must also be true. If you are not for Christ, then you must be against him, or anti-Christ.
It is my hope you will investigate Jesus further. Look at the things he did, how he fulfilled every prophecy from the Old Testament about the coming Messiah.
Jesus is the Christ!

You probably do not have the spirit of the anti Christ. I actually respect your faith and people. However the scriptures have said that many will be blinded to the truth until the approved time, and not all will believe. However some Jews will believe and some pagans will believe and be saved. I have studied many religions and come to a conclusion. Christianity is a road to heaven. Others do not compare. I especially like it when Jesus explains that he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. How with love. Those who apposed him had the anti- Christ spirit. Those in power like the Sadducee's and Pharisees did not like the threat Jesus posed.
Anti-Christ means against the plan Christians claim is God's. Remember no one could keep the ten commandants. That is why he became flesh and his blood was spilled for us who choose to believe. I have made some serious research and questioned everything about Christianity and have come to the same thesis. Jesus was true.

I would say neither. There is one anti-Christ, and, no offense, but I doubt you are it, unless you've been branding people with the number 777 recently...that being said, I think that verse is intended to say you are against Christ, meaning you don't accept His divinity and that He is the Messiah. I don't think that it means you are THE anti-Christ. I'm sorry to hear that Christians are telling you that - it's Christians like that who embarrass me and give us a bad rap. I take the "Judge, ye not be judged" thing seriously, so they have no right to judge you like that unless they have made sure they are fit to judge you, which they aren't - even Jews agree that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God/Yaweh correct? That includes the people who insulted you. As for the "antichrist spirit", I've never heard of it - I'll have to email my pastor on that one. You might ask them if they've read the description of the true anti-Christ in Revelations.
Peace!

No, and no. I don't believe in "the Antichrist Spirit". And how could you possibly be the Antichrist? No one knows who you are and as far as I can tell you are not in charge of a nation with a large military force. The Jews were God's chosen people before the time of Christ (according to Christian doctrine). I believe that the nation of Israel will be redeemed before the end comes and will realize who the Christ is.

In the bible, anyone who denied Christ was termed an antichrist. However, that is not the same as being the final Antichrist described in the book of Revelations. As a Jew, God has made many promises to you. In fact, He sent His son, Jesus, to the Jews first, and then to us Gentiles. But being a Jew does not grant you access to heaven. If you truly deny Jesus absolutely and completely then He will deny you before the Father.
Have you read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53? If not, read them and ask yourself who is being described?

it is sad!
all of us believe what we are TAUGHT.
some of us actually try to find the best books and study out the answers.
but even the best and most knowledgable never come to the truth.
if the Jews are correct, i wish i couldve been invited into the fold and not have been wrongfully accused as being a "missionary" in the land of jerusalem. but i was. so im not.
my goal in life was to be a true prophet. i am a witness of jesus christ. i have seen what i saw. and the jewish bible describes what i saw.
but it is hard to say if you are an antichrist or one possessed by the spirit of antichrist because you say you are a jew, and jews are automatically taught not to believe in jesus by their own tradition.
i would say you havent been convinced yet, but if jesus did appear today with all the angels as the christian gospel teaches, im almost sure that you would see him for what he is. and what has been said for 2000 years.
on the other hand you are still a jew, and many jewish people have been converted because of their own prayers and answers.
because of the christian bible and the book of mormon i believe in the gospel of christ. because i am a witness, i cannot think about judaism being the correct religion because you are taught and testify that Jesus is not the messiah. ihave my disagreements with all forms of christianity because of the lack correct translation and interpretation and the mixture of false teachings on the pulpits in the temples and synagouges world wide.

I don't think either of those choices would be my answer.
I am so sorry that Christians have told you this, as they are incorrect and also very rude to have done so!
My answer would simply be that you are a Jew who does not believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

No Julia, I do not believe you are the antiChrist or have the antiChrist spirit. I usually do not rant about my beliefs but you are asking, and so I am going to tell you what I believe. You are free to disagree with me, you will still be ok with me.
Your being Jewish is fine with me. My Saviour is Jewish. He was a practicing Jewish Rabbi till the day he died. His disciples were Jewish. The prophets pointing to Messiah were all Jewish.Joseph and Mary were Jewish. The first Christian congregations were Jewish! If not for the Jewish people, we would not have Christianity. This is why I will always be grateful to the Jewish people. This is why I consider Judaism the root of Christianity. I do believe the Jewish people are STILL the apple of God's eye. I do not believe that God ever abandoned or replaced the favor extended to the Jewish people. In fact, Jesus never taught such a thing. He took his message to the Jews first. I believe that God loves and will always love the Jewish people. They play a key role in end time prophesy. Jesus said himself that "salvation is of the Jews". I think that God has a plan to include all mankind in His worship. This would include all tribes and tongues and peoples. I think for this reason many Jewish people do not recognize that Jesus came. I think this is part of a divine plan. There will come a time when they do according to the Old Testament. I do not know how to say this without offending you. It is not my intent to offend, just answer your question. The Jewish folks are blinded just for now until the time comes when they will recognize him. Just to allow us miserable heathens to come in and be blessed also.
God will fulfill all promises to the nation of Israel and I think we Christians could learn a lot from the Jewish people. No one knows Old Testament like the Orthodox Jewish do. If I have a question about Old Testament, I ask the Orthodox Jewish.
AntiChrist, is refering to one who will come in before Messiah and claim he is Christ. He will do much evil before the Lord comes back. You are not the antiChrist. You do not claim to be Christ.......do you?
Here is what my NT says in relation to the antiChrist.
The idea that many opposing Christ appears in Matthew's gospel.(Matthew 24:4-5,23-24) Jesus predicted that in the last days many false christs and false prophets would arise to deceive many.
The apostle Paul speaks of the "man of lawlessness". 2 Thessalonians2:3-9. This individual is empowered by Satan and is the embodiment of all that is opposed to God. He is not the antiChrist but is linked to the "beast' of Revelation. They will both be defeated by Christ.
Our Lord Jesus loved his people... the Jewish people. Too many Christians proclaim Christ but forget our Lord Jesus' JEWISH heritage.
No Julia, you are not the antiChrist. You are just one of the brothers and sisters of Christ who have been verbally abused by so-called Christians. The real Christians will not call you any abusive names. They will recognize you for who you are.......a daughter of Israel. A sister of our beloved Saviour, Jesus!
May our God bless you and make His face to shine on you!
Peace!

Christianity doesn't teach "not believing" is equal to having the "Antichrist Spirit"
You are a member of God's chosen people, to which the Messiah was promised and through Him the world would be blessed. (Covenant with Abraham).
The Antichrist spirit describes and arrogant rebellious person who desires to place themselves above God. (as was the first act of rebellion).
I'd tell whoever said that to you to get a life!!!

The Bible says that: Jesus answered, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) And it also says: For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Jesus died for our sins. Jesus is real. You are mislead. JESUS IS THE MESSIAH!!
