Things were simpler. When I was a kid, we were outside all the time. We played kickball in the street, rode our bikes, and played Chinese Jacks and hopscotch. No one had motorized cars or scooters and very few of us had video games. There weren't as many overweight kids because we had P.E. at school several times a week (not once every week or two like kids have now) and we played outside with our friends until the streetlights came on. That's one of the reasons I chose to raise my son in Hawaii. We can be outdoors all year long and things are very child-centered here. There are lots of sports available for kids to play and there is the ocean for swimming. Kids here have just as many video games as kids anywhere else, but parents anywhere can monitor the amount of time their kids spend on sedentary activities -- and they should!

Everything. People were nicer, cared and were polite. Things were slower, much less to stress out about. When one was bad they knew it and one was good, they knew it. Watch A Christmas Story. Those were the "good old days". Happy Holidays.

Like the 1 1/2 month after 9/11 before Thanksgiving.

I think old days were good but we should never live from the past,we wish the good days stayed forever but it's always great to see we have future ahead of us,that future can be greater and only we can make it better and even happier, nothing is easy to achieve!

Everything was better than it is now, You were'nt afraid to walk the streets, you could go to the neighbours day or night and the door was always open. School was better and the teachers were'nt afraid of the kids, the kids were afraid of the teachers. Everything.

Everything was so decent. You didn't see prostitutes in every corner block. You didn't see gang bangers killing other people because they are in their "territory". You didn't see pointless murders as often as now. They were more civilized and decent. The clothes men and women covered their body and not show all skin.

Less importance placed on material goods, no so-called 'celebs', more respect for others and elders, better manners, no political correctness, no health and safety killjoys, more freedom, no 'texting', correct spelling and grammar and no junk food outlets. And no EU.

That we've got so many memories in our heads,
And we can look back knowing that we were content.

Thank you :)
We'll never get the old days back though.
