Why???? This is a VERY reasonably priced drug. I would not trust any supplier that did not want a prescription to back up the purchase.

The best thing to do is work with a vet on this....check around if you feel your current vet is overcharging you or something.

Please do not delay in getting the medicine though....your cat needs this drug -- it's life is depending on it.

I have mine on this too, she gets two doses a day and it costs us $35 a month. This is a prescription drug so you will need a vet's approval.

I use the pet apothecary in Milwaukee, they do the cream at the same price as the pills would cost me and they ship by mail and charge your credit card, no problems.

You can't do that with a controlled substance. My cat takes Soloxin for his hypo condition.

The thyroid is a very vital organ for the cat as it regulates all his metabolism. The reason the vet gives it by prescription is that the level of the thyroid secretion needs to be monitored periodically. If you get it without a prescription you won't have that monitoring and may harm your cat.

I don't understand what you mean. Your vet can write you a script for the drug and you can even fill it at your own pharmacy,we do.
