I have granite countertops that are black with a salmon pink marble look to it. Currently my tile backsplash is a light green, which doesn't match at all. I'm not sure what color to go with.

My walls are painted a khaki color and the cabinets are a very light wood.

I would go with a slightly darker shade of khaki and maybe have a border row that picks up either the black or salmon.

At first I was going to suggest accentuating the salmon, but I'm afraid that it will clash with the "khaki". Khaki could lean to the pink or green side.

How about something very near the color of your walls, but adding a few textured or patterned tile which contain the salmon color.

You say the the backsplash is tile. You have to either cover them with drywall, beadboard, tin etc etc or retile them

Decorative tins similiar to antique ceilings are very easy and pretty cool, trendy at home depot, lowes and can be easy DIY. They come in stainless, copper or paintable finish

Installing drywall or beadboard to paint requires a little more ability

Re-tiling is the most labor intensive and costly option, but done in a tumbled marble with metal accents would look beautiful.

how about a piece of stainless steal
or else I'd vote for a khaki color to match the walls, maybe the salmon color of you want it to stand out a bit more

Polished Brass would look really good against that black granite i think.
