which job is better?

Job 1 is a 20 minute drive, pays good, starts in a little over a week and is just work but not that bad.

Job 2 is a 40 minute drive, pays better, starts in a month from now and is closer to the work I'm looking for.

Take the job that is something you will enjoy doing. A short commute is nice, but it's better to think about your career long term.
