Skin is dead, at least the outermost layer is. Everytime you bite and swallow your own cuticle, you're eating dead skin.
Now on the other hand, if you ate human meat, fresh and properly cooked, it would be no more likely to harm you than steak would. I hear we taste similar to pork.

Not if cooked properly but most nutritionist will tell you not to eat the skin go for the healthier parts liver, kidney, heart if you trim the fat off you can get a nice rump roast and the thighs make for a nice meal to. the calfs can be chewy but are nice slow cooked with bbq sauce over a nice hickory wood flame.
