theres no official list but most headsets work
the only one that ive seen not work was my friends sony ericsson which he picked up from a flea market but it did work with his phone
me my dad and a friend f mine all have motorolas and they are all compatible with PS3 so id suggest motorola

I bought a cheap Motorola set and it connected just fine, but would drop off after a few minutes. I'd stay away from Motorola, if possible. I went with the cheapest one I could find (Plantronics), and it works great!
