This is going to be so far down the list it will never be read even by the OP but I want to say it...
Earlier, there was a question about atheists.. and how depressing it must be to be atheist.. because there was nothing to believe in.. no heaven, no hell... no after-life..
I have to say.. I find this MUCH more depressing than being atheist. To believe that one is BORN into sin.. that we sin every day of our lives.. that NO MATTER HOW GOOD one strives always to be, they always... ALWAYS fall short of their god's grace.
How utterly sad that is to me. To think Mother Teresa (who I viewed as the epitomy of goodness) lived a sinful life.. I cannot imagine a god who would be so cruel as to NEVER let you live in grace.

Sin is what we are taught to believe sin is. It is neither learned nor an inborn reaction, but an assignment of guilt to that reaction that is created by religious society. The concept of sin is very different in one religion to another. In some places, sleeping with multiple people is fine, in others it is a sin. Tattoos are sinful in some religions, in others it is a necessity that you must go through like baptism. Real sin has nothing to do with religion. We are born knowing what feels right and what feels wrong. When we go against what we know in our hearts is the right course of action, no matter what big or small thing it is, then we have sinned.

Sin is something we are born with, as it is passed from the father, thanks to Adam.
Evidence to this is the first concept we learn, which usually manifests itself at the age of 2... "MINE!"
Sin is not something that is learned, like a trade or a skill, it is anything wherein the focus is not on God, but on ourselves. If you are consumed with work, and it takes the center of your life, than you have made a false idol of your work and have therefore sinned. As I had mentioned with the 'mine' phase, we have to learn to be holy, to be selfless. It is not inherent.
This is why it is something we are born with.

Depends.
Christian or Jewish?
Christian: Born with (Original Sin).
Jewish: Learn. (no concept of Original Sin exists in Judaism)
As for other religions, I'm not sure what they have as far as the idea of being born with sin or learning it, so I can't answer for that.

We are born with a sin nature, and our natural inclination is to that which is considered evil in the eyes of God. We are born dead in sin and totally depraved.
Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.
Psa 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from the belly, speaking lies.

Both.
We are born with original sin, which causes us to desire to follow our own will and disregard God's. Given free rein and no knowledge of God, we sin. Sin begets more sin. So, once begun, it can be a slippery slope.
