For years I suffered with weekly migraine attacks. I consulted several doctors each of which had their own solution to address my problem and each doctor conducted a multitude of tests and bloodwork trying to determine the cause so they could better treat it. well it was all to no avail. I tried every pain med from tylenol to advil to Imitrex (at almost $10) per pill along with trying all the home remedies and methods that friends would suggest and I continued to be bothered by these horrific migraine headaches until I came upon a young doctor (my current primary physician). He said "I want to try a new approach". He prescribed a mild high blood pressure medication (atenolol) even though my blood pressure was usually only borderline high and would not be reason for having to take blood pressure medication.
To make a long story short I have been taking the medication for several years and I have not had even one migraine since!
I am not a doctor nor do I have any medical training whatsoever and I am sure that like anything else everybody is different and what works for one person may not work for another but it's worth a try. Talk to your doctor and see if he (or she) would be willing to try this method on your problem. Good luck

I get them ALL the time and not even meds help me... Sometimes it gets so bad I have to go to the er so they can give me a shot.
Believe it or not but some migraines are triggered by some back pain that affects the neck and head, I didn't believe it at first but when I started going to the chiropractor, they weren't as bad anymore.
For temporally relief try taking a few sips of an energy drink (not the whole thing or else too much caffeine will make it worse) another thing someone taught me that works is cut a lime in half and press it on the spot where it hurts. Sounds dumb but it really works, what do you think that head on stuff is made of? For the time being, get off the computer and go lay down in a dark cool quite room.
Feel better soon!

1. Take excedrin migraine
2. Turn off your pc
3. Turn off your phone
4. Find a dark, quiet room
5. Lie down until the pain subsides.

Try not to use your computer for a few days because the glare can re-trigger the migraine. Also, if the pain persists for several days, see your doctor to rule out an aneurysm.

Go lie down in a quiet and DARK room ... or you could go to the Emergency Room to get a shot of the 'migraine medication' to ease the pain ... but ONLY if this is a 'true migraine (only one half of your head hurts, and that has a 'point' where the pain is the worst/sharpest). Otherwise, see your doctor as SOON as you are 'better' and see about getting a prescription for migraine medication that will work for you.

Certainly.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief. For cure you will have to follow acupuncture.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.
