depends on where you take him. if he doesnt have any of his shots it will be around 300 ish for everything. im not sure how much it is to get his nails removed. i wouldnt suggest you declaw him. if he's an outdoor cat the only protection he has are his claws.

Call up the vet and ask! Sedation costs more than the neuter/spay surgery itself, but needless to say, it is required.
So far as declawing goes, same deal but please don't declaw your kitty. Cat's claws are attached to ligaments (which have nerves!) so the cat can put his claws out and draw them back in again. Part of these ligaments are removed during the surgery, and it's awful for the cat. It sounds like an old wives' tale that when you declaw a cat, it's like cutting off the first knuckle of your own fingers...but really, there is truth in that. It's very painful for the cat and completely unnessecary. Clip off the sharp tips of your cat's claws with $4 nail clippers from the pet store. Or, look online or ask at a pet store about the little plastic sheaths that fit over the cat's claws. You put a tiny dab of glue in them and stick them right over each claw. Much cheaper than declawing, and more humane, too.

Be aware that a LOT of declawed cats have litter box and biting problems as a result of it.
Neutering will run you around $99-$120 but there are low cost options too, check your area for low cost neuter assistance.
Kittens can't control their claws till later. Socialization and handling should be teaching him when not to use his claws. Immediately stop all play and ignore him if he uses them, this can turn a cat around in a few days. Negative reinforcement works better on dogs than on cats, so yelling won't usually do a thing. You need to treat him as other cats would--they leave, they stop playing, they stare then walk away.

How much it will cost to have your cat neutered can vary tremendously - call your vet and ask. There are also clinics that often offer low cost neuters if the vet is too expensive.
As for the claws, keep them trimmed and discourage the play fighting. When your cat claws or bites you in play, immediately stop playing with him. Don't play with him again until he's calmer. He'll eventually learn to get your attention in less painful ways. You can take the edge off his aggression by playing with him with a feather wand, which he can chew up to his heart's content without getting near your hands.

i got my male neutered (and first shots) for $10. I am getting my female spayed (and first shots) for $10. The Dumb Friends League (where I live anyway) fixes cats for only $10 and dogs for only $35. I don't know about where you live.
and instead of declawing you cat train him to NOT scratch you. It takes time. But if you don't have the time to train him, then you don't have the time for him. Would you have your child's hands cut off because they hit and slap? NO, you'd TEACH them not to hit and slap.

It doesn't cost much to have your cat Neutered. Not castrated. They will also Declaw the cat too. That's cutting off the nails.

It depends on where you live, I live in chicago and my cat got fixed and it was $125.00 with the shots and everything and if i wanted to get his front nails at the same time it would of been like 180.00. it is cheaper to do it at the same time.

it cost me forty-five dollars at my local pet clinic to have my boy neutered. they trimmed his nails before they neutered him for their safety and his (not declawed him, that's horrible). the angryness will go away after a while of being neutered they become more tolerant without all the testosterone in their body.

$65.00 approximately for him to be fixed. The nails........
a bit more and its painful for the cat. If you trim the nails on a regular basis......the scratches won't be so bad
