basically, i want to add 25 to each cell in my column without having to do it manually... i know there is a formula but i cant remember how to do it.... help please!
for example:
cell - value
----------------
a1 - 1
a2 - 2
a3 - 3
a4-20

i want it to be

a1-26
a2-27
a3-28
a4-45

-type 25 in a random empty cell
-copy the 25
-highlight column A
-right click in the hightlighted section
-click paste special...
- choose "Add". its under the operation section
-click ok

What you could do is an absolute cell reference.
In another cell type '25'.
In the cells you wish tis to occur, type '=a1+***the cell you typed 25 in***' then press F4 to absolute cell reference the 25 and drag the box in the bottom right corner (when the cell with the formulae is highlighted) down to where you wish - a4.
This should work.

= (cell location) + 25
