I see a lot of anti-mormon websites among these answers. Make sure you check out the pro-mormon websites as well. It's not fair to read only one side of the story.

If you need to know answers about the Mormon church, why don't you ask the missionaries or leadership of the church. Wouldn't it stand to reason that if you wanted to know something about any religion you would ask someone who belonged to it? Definitely do not go to an anti-Mormon website - you'll only hear rantings of people who have somehow been offended by a Mormon and are out to make all the millions of Mormons looks bad.

If you are seeking answers about Mormon beliefs, I would suggest you seek answers from the source. If you want a pure answer, drink from the source and not downstream where the waters can be polluted. In other words, go to a Mormon source.

Here are a few:

lds.org
mormon.org

The last place you should come for perspective on religion is Yahoo answers. If you need perspective, then pray. You can also visit mormon.org, lds.org, or talk to your Bishop. Good luck

Like some of the others have answered, please research what you can! Dont do anything you will regret! Once your in your pretty much stuck there. The missionaries do not mention any of the weird things that their church believes!

Are you a new mormon?

I would suggest doing some research so you know what you're getting yourself into. They like to sugar coat things for new members.

Here's some light reading (one perspective):
