What wally said is true.

I never drink bottled water at home (mostly for environmental reasons).
I recommend getting your water tested using one of those $10 mail in test kits available at Lowes or the Home Depot. You might even find that it is safer than many spring waters that are bottled. Until you test it, you will not know.
And, you can always get a tap filter if you are concerned.

Probably a horse apiece. We drink our tap water but we live in the country and have our own well. I don't like the taste or smell of chlorine so I won't drink city tap water. Bottled water is often times just city water that has been filtered so you have to read the label to find the source of the water. Also, bottles are not being recycled and are filling up landfills which creates other problems.

I beleive tap water is better for you than bottled. Plastic bottles begin to break down over time and contaminate the water. If you live where tap water is considered safe you are better off drinking it than bottled water. If you don't care for the taste that can easily be fixed with either a built-in or portable filter (like a Britta pitcher).

Depending on the area that you are from, if you are from developed countries -then tap water is usually good enough. Why spent unneccessary monies.

Let's say bottled water is really better -in what ways. Water is always water, something important to our body functioning. But the money spent on bottled water can do so much more for you or your love ones...:)

Coke's Dasani is taken from tap water (now labeled on the bottle as "PWS" source which means Public Water Supply). I don't know what they label the one from Pepsi which they pump out of the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh. As long as people fall for bottled water the soft drink companies will continue to advertise it strongly.

I drink only tap water, filtered (I have no idea whether the filter does any good or not). I keep bottled water in the refrigerator for visiting family & friends who swear by it. That way everybody's happy. One daughter in law only drinks Perrier. OK Perrier in the refrigerator when I know she is coming.

Tap water has floride which is poison to your body.Don't let anyone tell you it is necessary for your teeth. It's not.An inexpensive way to get filtered water is to get a Brita pitcher.Just fill the pitcher, with tap water, and drink. Why would you want to drink anything that smells so bad?Yuck!Animals should drink filtered water as well.
