Girl, it doesn't matter what they say. You are not an Atheist. Let it go. They are trying to ruffle your feathers and you are letting them. Smile at them and move on.

That's true. Objectively, you are not an atheist.

However, what we atheists sometimes like to do is look at it in a relative sense. While you may not be an atheist objectively, you ARE an atheist with respect to every deity besides the christian God. You reject Allah, you reject Buddha, you reject Vishnu, you reject Zeus, Odin, Osiris, Quetzalcoatl and countless other gods. Indeed, you are just ONE GOD AWAY from being an atheist. And even though that doesn't mean you ARE an atheist, it does bring up an important question: Why do you reject all these other gods, but not the christian God? It's something worth thinking about.

You cant be messing with other things even money ,or movie stars because what you worship[other than God] becomes a dungy idol in Gods eyes.I worship nothing but Jehovah God Almighty and his son Christ.I would give all I posess and my life for him theres no wiggle room in serving whole souled.

Just the idea of me possibly being an atheist gives me an upset stomach. I believe in God. Atheists have the right not to believe, but it doesnt stop me from praying for them. To each his or her own.

I'll explain. It is true, you do not meet the dictionary definiiton of an atheist; however, you are "atheistic" in certain respects. I presume that you do not believe in Zeus, Apollo, or Athena. They were Greek God's that many people for many many generaitons believed in just as sincerely as you believe in Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, they were imaginary. "Faith" did not make them real.

The same is true of your God. There is no objective evidence or non-ambiguous proof of God. Religion in general is a completation of borrowed myths that mankind clings to in order to deny the reality that one day, we will all die.

"Faith" is a scam. All it really means is that you are willing to believe in something for which there is insufficiant evidence. In the English Language, we have another word for this: "delusional." Good luck breaking away from generations of religions brainwashing to come to terms with this fact.

Relax,

It's just said to prove a point. Nobody really thinks it, we know atheists don't believe in any supernatural beings. It's just a way to illustrate how silly the christians seem to us when they can't believe we don't have faith in their invisible sky-daddy...

We disbelieve your jebus, just like you disbelieve Zeus. So, it's just a way of pointing out the similarity. Nobody's accusing you of anything. And nobody thinks you're an atheist, trust me :)

Actually, I agree with you on that.

But, I'm sure you can see the point they are driving at, with that analogy. Believers cite the existence of mankind or the universe and affect bafflement that anyone could deny the existence of god. But most Believers themselves deny the existence of OTHER gods.

You are atheist when you are born and then you are brainwashed to believe otherwise. The true path to greatness is the pursuit of knowledge, religion has a way of setting you off course.

oh i think what they mean is that you deny the possibility of other gods existing. so your "atheist" in the hindu perspective, since you dont believe in [their]. and so forth.

though its kind of misconception and ignorant saying. because the fact is you still believe in a god.

You're an atheist regarding all gods except our own.

Why don't you believe in Zeus?

No two people believe in the same god. God's are the constructs of your mind - This is why Christians do not even agree on their denominations tenets. You'd think if they had a direct line to god, which the claim they do, he'd tell them which religion and denomination is the correct one. The fact is, people are talking to their own agendas, not god.

No, I didn't misunderstand you. Think about it. You are an atheist regarding Thor, Zeus, Allah, etc. This is a very simple idea to grasp and should not even be beyond the capabilities of your brainwashed mind.
