What are the main reasons someone would get a ps3. I already got a wii and a 360.

What would be games that some one would get this for ?
Blu-ray or HD-DVD?
Backwards Compatibility?
How easy is it to use?
i dont got the money for it right now but when i do i was thinking about buying this but need some advice as whether or not i am going to make a good investment

ps i have owned a sony ps1 and ps2 but was diappointed at the ps2 which turned me over to the xbox.

Why wouldn't you get a PS3? The PS3 offers more than both the Wii and Xbox 360. Also, I'm assuming that you have never owned a Sony console before because anyone that has owned a PS1 and/or PS2 knows that the PS3 is worth buying and isn't worth questioning whether or not it's worth buying.
-Free Online gameplay
-Blu-Ray
-Bluetooth
-Built in WiFi
-All of the PS3's except for the 40GB have backwards compatbility with Thousands of PS1 and PS2 games.
-More advanced technology
-A longer lifespan than the 360 because of the more advanced hardware and reliability.
And the PS3 is getting the best games of 2008 without a doubt. The only big exclusive that the 360 is getting is Halo Wars and possibly Gears of War 2, but it may come out in 2009.

xbox 360 is gona be old school in 2008. 2008 is the year for the ps3 to shine cuz in the first year of the xbox 360, its sales were even worse than the ps3 first year sale, and the ps3 has got alot more competition this year. and remember the good old ps2? yeah, they still make games for it like man hunt. the original xbox? not so much... plus, in 2007, ps2 still holds 43% of the whole console market share.
im a ps3 owner, 360 owner and a xbox owner. trust me. ps3 is worth every penny. its got no "ring of death" or some **** like that. and playing online is free. think of it this way~ why would u spend $50 to pay for online play for 360 when u can buy or download a bran new game.

because the ps3 is better than both of those and apparently your rich so heck yea get it! EDIT: the games i would get are: COD4, resistance fall of man, Warhawk, GTA4 since your not getting it right away. It has blue-ray if thats what your asking. If you get the 40gb you will not be able to play ps2 games at all however you can play ps1 games. 60gb and 80gb will play ps2 games and ps1 games. 60gb will play all ps2 games. 80gb will play about 80% of ps2 games.

i dont own a ps3 yet, but me personally, im gettin one for the graphics and for free online play
oh, and if you have a 360 and are already paying for xbox live then there is no need for a ps3
