*Note: Is there any truth?
*Note: Why would I lie?

you're entitled to your opinion, but it doesn't mean it's the truth.

Other than a mass of multi cellular organisms I am not sure what we are. I am not sure why we are alive. But, then are we really alive. Plato, Socrates and others have debated this question what is alive. And it is lengthy check it out if you have the time or inclination.
Truth, not really sure what that means on a large scale. I know that if a person tells me there is an afterlife but they have never seen or been to this place I know they are not telling me the truth. As for absolute truth I always thought that 2+2=4 until I took Algebra. So I am sure that there is only one truth to which everyone in the world can agree on.... We are all some day and at some point going to die and leave this plane of existence. As to what is after that well that is any ones guess.

We can only believe what we believe, but hopefully with some kind of well thougt out reasoning. Truth? I am an athiest, but can I prove the non existence of a God? Course not. I base my particular situation on my own observations and life experiences so far. I don't, and would'nt claim my beliefs to be truth. That would be ignorant and arrogant. My mind is always open.

Start with IS is, existence is. Truth is.....IS. Now if you can witness my truth or I yours, then we have something. So....show me yours. We can say anything we want about anybody or anything, but without some witness of that claim or some elaboration as to how that claim came to be that makes sense to us, it really means nothing to us, does it?

If someone shares something personal with you and they have been historically honest with you, wouldn't that person be more worthy to be listenned to?

Where did life come from? What's your theory? The most logical explanation I have come up with is dust and temperature from a heated imagination which was no thing before material existence came to be as we know it.

A force of Creation Energy, exploded, divided into material beingness, dust and temperature that created moisture spots and eventually this mixture life forms that evolved into mankind and what have you.

All of this dust and moisture formation came from a Creation Energy of which we are parts and of which we return back to when we leave this human existence. The human existence or any existence materially, to me, is a break from the monotony of being in total touch, if you will, knowing everything! Think about it, what would knowing everything be like?

Life is a break, isn't it? This material break away from Creation know it all image is a break. Knowing everything is not all it is cracked up to be. What would surprise you if you knew everything? So we, parts of that Creation Energy, chose to live here for a while and experience the entertainment of uncertainty here. Enjoy. It only lasts a while.

Healing be unto you and yours and me and mine

Hey now, lets not go picking on Athiests. You know more than you think you do, they just dont tell people they're athiest because they're afraid people like you will shun them and hurt them. Most of them don't have a problem with the fact that you beleive in God or whatever your religion is, they just want you to do the same to them. Most of them realise that religion is just an opinion, that nobody is right either way.

Think about it, there have been millions of people DIE because people just can accept another opinion on religion.
Your question should be directed toward the FEW athiests that actually care about your religion, not all of them.

Truth is the universe as it exists. At best, we make observations of that truth. At one point, we made up myths based on our limited knowledge, now we make observations and conclusions.

There is the silly college freshman philosophy thing of "but ultimately, how do we know what we observe is real." This is a quaint truism, but is a pointless line of thought. If nothing you observe is real then why are you talking or, for that matter, eating.

there's proven truth. I'm actually a religious person, but i really do agree with everything scientists say about evolution and science, i just incorporate my religion into that. i have to defend them, they do really have a point when they show you all this PROOF that they've worked for hundreds of years to find. try not to be so down on them. they have worked hard to back up their beliefs.

"What is truth?," quoth Pilate.

It's not a matter of lying, it's a matter of epistemology. People have been debating the nature of truth for thousands of years. You're welcome to join in on the conversation, but I don't exactly think you've got the last word on the subject.

no theres no truth to what you say

yes there is truth...but not absolute truth.
yes you would lie...especially if it would put your religion in a positive light.

if you disagree with everything i say then please get off your technological computer, remove your poly-blend clothing, go to the woods (not drivign your modern vecicular transport vessel aka CAR!) and live a life of servitude to god.

since you know...nothing good truthful comes from science or scientists...oh...and when you get sick...dont take any medicine...

Depends on who is defining truth.

I see truth as processed information that is reliable based on testing and uniform results.

Others see it as an emotion based belief.

I believe that the results of science pretty much speak for themselves, unless you like pooping outside, wondering why God made it snow?
