It makes more sense that stretch marks would disappear with weight loss. After all, your skin has less mass to cover; thus, it does not expand as much. Therefore, my question is: do stretch marks sometimes disappear with weight loss?

I wouldn't know personally, but from what I have seen they do not seem to disappear. Your skin has already stretched out so when you lose a lot of weight you have that excess skin that hangs. Your skin does not retract when you lose weight. Therefore, the stretch marks still remain no matter how much weight you lose. The may possibly become less obvious over time though by fading in color.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

They become less noticeable, but they don't disappear altogether. How do I know this? Simple: I have lost about 40 pounds in the last year, and I still have some stretch marks. Fortunately for me, they're almost all in areas that are covered up by boxer briefs.

Not that I'm awhere of...do to the fact that they are like scares from the skin being stretched past its flexablility. There may be creams that help but that's the best I can tell.
